Pastor Clarke has served in numerous capacities of ministry. He began preaching in June 1990 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Okinawa, Japan under the leadership of Pastor Charles S. Reynolds, Jr. Upon his return to the United States, Pastor Clarke served as an associate minister to Pastor Clayton D. Smith at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church of Albany, Georgia until he assumed the pastorate of Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church of Leary, Georgia. Pastor Clarke remained at Spring Creek until the Marines Corps transferred him to Bridgeport, California where he eventually served as pastor of the Walker Baptist Church in Walker, California. Shortly after being discharged, Pastor Clarke served as youth minister at St. John Baptist Church of Columbia, South Carolina under the leadership of Pastor Barry Wright. In May 1999 he returned to Albany, Georgia and served as assistant pastor at Greater Second Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the visionary leadership of Pastor Lorenzo L. Heard. Pastor Clarke currently serves as the very proud pastor of the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Warner Robins, Georgia, which is the home of “The Grove Zone.”
Pastor Clarke is a graduate of Barstow Community College of Barstow, California with an Associate of Science degree in Business as well as Bellevue University of Bellevue, Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership.
Pastor Clarke believes in preaching and teaching the word of God with power and simplicity. His prayer is to be used of God so that disciples are made and leaders developed to advance the kingdom of God. One of his greatest joys is to help others maximize their personal potential to the glory of God. He recently finished his first book entitled, Starting Over: Five Helps To A New Direction In Life chronicling the growth of Simon Peter.
Pastor Clarke is married to the former Michelle Wilson of Beaufort, South Carolina and they have three wonderful children: Janelle, Tenisha, and David, II. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling, playing golf and chess, listening to jazz, and spending time with his family. They currently reside in Warner Robins, Georgia.
